Congratulations to the Under 10 boys who won the county tournament held in Cheddar on Sunday and will progress to the regional finals.  

The team won their games against Cheddar, Taunton Vale and Chard and drew with Shepton Mallett.

Ted, Joe, Finn and Charlie were solid in defence and kept a clean sheet. Hugo and Edward ran tirelessly in midfield whilst Joshua, Ben, Max and Jasper linked up effectively in attack.

It was an enjoyable afternoon and we appreciated all the support from those who came to watch and the work of Liz (Coach) and Les (Umpire) for all their work with these young players this season – undoubtedly inspiring them for the future.

Massive well done to this amazing team!

After a very successful inaugural tournament last year the Yeovil 7-a-side Masters tournament is now a fixture in the Masters summer programme of not to be missed events.

It will be taking place from Friday 7th-Sunday 9th June 2024 on the Astro pitch at Yeovil Recreation Centre, Chilton Grove, Yeovil, Somerset BA21 4AW.

PLAYERS

Everyone must register on GMS as a player.  This only needs to be done once and takes a couple of minutes once a player has registered they will be approved by the Club Membership Secretary.

Any transfers between Clubs will be handled by the Club Membership Secretary (who will email GMS support to provide them with name of player, the clubs involved and an email from the old club saying they are OK for the player to transfer and no money or kit is owed).

MATCHES

BEFORE the game – prepare your Team Sheet, including players and umpires.

If you have any issues registering or preparing teamsheets, please contact a Club Admin (Membership Secretary, Fixture Secretaries or Chair) in the first instance who will contact GMS support if they are not able to help solve the problem.   For other matter please work with your Divisional Secretary, preferably through the Club Fixture Secretaries.

AFTER the game before 8pm on day of match – record the score on GMS.  BOTH Home and Away sides should record the score.

AFTER the game before 8pm the day after the game – complete the match sheet and save.  You should record any cards issued, goals, time of goals, type ie Field, Penatly Corner, and goalscorer.  Even if you have no cards or goals you should go in and SAVE the match sheet, which creates a timeline and closes out the match

Development teams – please see the website for Regulations and Match instructions for development teams.  All results should be recorded as 0-0 (there will be no points awarded to either team and no goal difference impact).

Hospitality – please ensure that you inform your opposition and umpires about the hospitality arrangements.  If you are not providing any, please let them know early in the week

UMPIRES

All Umpires should also be registered on GMS:  As a Bronze member on GMS you should link to the Clubs that you umpire for (this can be done individually or emailing GMS support).

 

All club members must register on the new TEAMO membership management System.
