Club Kit – Juniors

The Club’s kit and clothing policy can be found in document YSHC 2.6 Clothing and Equipment Policy and summarised below.  The only clothing players are required to have are those marked below with an asterisk; all other clothing such as outer clothing, training clothing and leisurewear is optional and down to personal choice.  (Over-14s who play for senior teams  need to go to the Club Kit – Seniors page)

Junior Playing Shirts.  The Club’s Junior playing shirts have been created for training and for club tournaments, but only from KitzUK

Junior Team Playing Shirts.  For county, region and national competitions the Club provides playing shirts in club colours (players should provide their own white shorts or burgundy/maroon skorts and sky blue socks as below).

Change Kit – Colour Clash.  For away matches when there is a colour clash, BURGUNDY shirts (or alternately orange bibs) will be provided by the Club, however, players are expected to have alternate WHITE socks*.

Gum Shields and Shin Pads.  The Club requires that all Junior players wear a gum shield* and shin pads*, for training and playing matches.  Other items of protective equipment, such as glove(s), should also be worn.

Footwear.  While trainers can be worn Astro hockey shoes are recommended because they specifically designed for use on artificial pitches and provide more grip when changing direction.

IF IN DOUBT ABOUT THE SUITABILITY OF ANY ITEM OF PLAYING CLOTHING PLEASE SPEAK TO THE HEAD JUNIOR COACH, CLUB JUNIOR ADMINISTRATOR/SECRETARY BEFORE MAKING A PURCHASE.  Similarly Junior coaches may be consulted on items of hockey equipment such as sticks and shoes, or goalkeeping equipment.
