Training takes place at: YRC Artificial Pitch, Chilton Grove, Yeovil, Somerset,  BA21 4AW

Yeovil and Sherborne Hockey Club cannot be responsible for the children prior to or after their training session.  It is parents’ responsibility to wait with the children until the session starts and to pick them up promptly after the session.  Parents should collect their children from the YRC Artificial Pitch so that Coaches and/or the Junior Administrator know that they have been collected and are not waiting around in the car park.

The school years for the training sessions above are a guideline only and your child may be asked to attend a different training session at any time during the season if the coaches feel it is appropriate.  New children should contact the Junior Administrator as below.  Older, existing Junior members will be advised at the beginning of the season if they are to be moved up to senior training and/or Centre of Excellence, otherwise they will be expected to attend Junior training. 

Juniors 2026 – 2027 

Mixed:

School Years 3 to 5  –  Under 10s –  Saturdays 8.45am to 9.45am – Outdoors
12th September 2026 to 12th December 2026 (Half-term break – no training  – 31st October)
7th January 2027 to 20th March 2027 (Half-term break – no training – 9th February)

Boys:

School Years 6 to 7 – Under 12s –  Thursdays 6.15pm to 7.30pm – Outdoors
10th September 2026 to 10th December 2026 (Half-term break – no training  – 29th October)
7th January 2027 to 18th March 2027 (Half-term break – no training  – 7th February)

School Years 8 to 9  – Under 14s –  Wednesdays 6.30pm to 8.00pm – Outdoors – NOTE CHANGE OF DAY & TIME
Starts 9th September 2026 – further dates TBD

Girls:

School Years 6 to 7  – Under 12s –  Thursdays 6.15pm to 7.30pm – Outdoors
School Years 8 to 9  –  Under 14s – Thursdays 7.30pm to 8.45pm – Outdoors
