Anyone interested in getting involved with coaching at Yeovil & Sherborne Hockey Club should contact either of the head coaches or the Club Secretary/Junior Administrator in the first instance (go to Club Contacts).

The hockey coaching development programme consists of workshops and courses as shown in the pictorial diagram below (click on it to view a larger version), supported by on-line material and videos.  Access to these workshops and courses, and the supporting material is via the EH Hockey Hub; while the full hockey coaching programme can be seen here: Great Britain Hockey Coaching Offer.

The main workshops and courses are:   

Engaging Games for Children – 3 hours

Coaching for Club Players – 3 hours

Introduction to Hockey Coaching – 6 hours

EH Sessional Coach Course – 2 days

EH Coach Course – 3 days 

Under the current circumstances all courses are on-line, however, normally the Club will endeavour to host courses in Yeovil or Sherborne, particularly those that take one day or less.   Other courses (Sessional Coach and Coach) are run on a regional basis (in Taunton, Bristol or Bath for example).
